May not have been a race winner, but sure makes me smile...

 

My brother was one of 4 partners in the U.S. Kids car. It's the one that got me interested in drag racing.

Thanks for the Fontana pics. The field with the eucalytus trees was one of our favorite local dirt bike riding spots. On Sundays after we were done riding we would sit on the wash levee & watch the drags. Good memories for sure.

Good thing it has what looks like a stout roll bar! I wonder how many times the driver has lifted when this thing hits a gear and then tries to go over the wall?

Reportedly the first SS396 Impala on the West Coast. And he stuck a blower on it and ran nitro! Amazing times back then.....

 

Anybody got a good side view of the JGG? I also need one of the 64/65 Seaton Chevelle.

In the late 80's I had the opportunity to drive the 554 coupe for a couple of years. This is a race against the Speed Sport car.
