i dont have any pictures yet, but ive been working on converting a 26 model T sedan into a coupe. ive got the sides all shortened so it looks like a coupe, now the REAL challenge will be making the trunk area!

How about 1/2 of my Oakland Roadster Show diorama? I had this at the 50th Anniversary GNRS.

    Thanx Kiwi :))

A almost ox stock kit brings a lot of pleasure. I don't have too much spare time... so I have to make some easy ones.

  21. I haven't done any real scale custom stuff in years. The HAMB has inspired me. I decided to build a 1940 Ford 3 Window Coupe. I am starting with the horribly cast Lindberg coupe that came in the L-700 truck and trailer kit. I figured if I screwed this up then no big deal. I took 7/16 out of the length. I am having trouble getting the line right for the back of the door. If anyone can photochop a good line in there for me I would appreciate it. I haven't needed putty for anything in years, and yep what I have in the model tool kit is dried up.... I haven't decided on anything other than the body as of yet. I am thinking of making it look like a mild custom. I have seen pics of 3 Window 1940 Ford coupes before, but the B-Pillar never looks "right". Anyway here is what I have so far:

most are found in hobby/model/toy shops, but a lot of us modify them. i love cutting them up with my dremal and making each kit unique and radical. you need big parts boxes witch is a by product of years of building.:)
the blue car has 36 ford front fenders on the rear, 34 ford front guards, camaro grille, body sides are f100 truck hood cut in half and the engine is made out of spare engine parts for example.

  23. My problem is, I can't remember what I've already posted on here.

For the most part, almost everybody's are modifications of existing model kits, using parts from many other kits, plus lots of work and ingenuity to make it 'work' like the model builder envisions it.

    very cool '41 Lyle!

my yellow roadster was inspired by a car that Vern Tardel had at some point. that car was a '32 though?
