Here's my old T-Coupster on Model A Rails with a 292/3spd/9" from '58 F-100. Had a NOS Hurst front plate motor mount.

    Here's my Y-powered A PU lined up against a Y-powered T roadster at Mokan a couple years ago. I have a 312 with a 4 spd toploader.

I don't have one or any pics, but those are one of my favorite motors in a open hood car as far as looks. I even like the stock non t-bird covers.

  15. So what is the difference between the Mercury, Lincoln, and Ford Y-Blocks?

The Ford and Mercury are the same. The lincolns have different heads and other things that set them apart. Like those cool ass Lincoln Valve covers that wont fit a ford or Merc! From what I know not much is interchangeable. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will chime in with all the differences, which I wouldn't mind knowin myself.

Are any body mods needed to put a 292 Y block in a 1930 Model A? I remember reading somewhere that a shorter water pump is needed, but would you have to turn the fire wall around as well? Great thread here!

  21. I would love to see more of this one :D
