I know its not a car but its one of my favorite shades of Orange besides Chevy Hugger Orange. Its a one year only color from Schwinn called "Sunset Orange" for the 1973 Orange Krates, its got the perfect hint of red to it.

So you did it!!! I like it, it has a lot of those 60s drag cars vibe, i'd say just had some mild lettering in gold leaf or something and youre done!
Some orange cars......most are pretty famous and i wonder how nobody posted'em b4???

U.K. promo ride for Outspan Oranges, based on a Mini, built around '72, still around today... gags about the owner being 'pithed' or 'I think it's quite appeelling' will not be accepted:rolleyes:!

  14. I'd say ShopRat and RetroSteel have the best oranges. But I believe Retro's is Ford's 1996 (not 1994) Bright Tangerine M6753A, made and used by Ford in only 1996. I have it on my '55 Chevy 2nd series, deluxe Pickup.
I am looking for the same color, but in an ENGINE paint and can't find it anywhere. Anyone know a shop who has or can make it?
It is also called Dupont ChromaBase B9608K. I have the mixing codes for it, but my local "Finish Masters" paint shop told me today they can mix it - they know it by the Dupont code.
Wow - what a great assortment of orange (and not so orange) 'wheels'.

All this and no one has shown Vinter's car? My favorite orange, I'm pretty sure!

'Course, as is the way, while I was searching for Vinther's '34, I found fellow H.A.M.B.er MIKE's '57 150 gasser "thumper", and the coolest damn early rail I have ever seen from LARS last year... Ya, I'm a "closet" orange car kinda guy!
