So it has been at least 17 years since i was around the old car scene and even though it's been old news i just recently found out the Striper i knew and saw at every show i ever went to passed away last year. Tophat striped my dad's car many many years ago and i was actually hoping to see him still around now that i have gotten back in the scene. Now that he isn't around i was wondering if there was another name that has stepped in and stripes as well as he did?
Come to Dixie Fried 10 next Saturday at the Drive-Invasion. There will be a few guys there with their striping kits. We have a "Top Hat" pinstriping award we give out in honor of him since his passing. Z
3 come to mind right off, Chastin(fellow HAMBer) from butler which i think has moved to MS but still comes back every once in awhile, Brian Papa and Hot Rod Walt( both in the atlanta area).i'm in warner robins, but i'm not near as good as the guys i've listed, but if you like my work then i would be glad to do it for ya
I know it was last year but i was really saddened to hear that he had passed. He did some work on my Dad's car a long time ago and now that i have Dad's truck i was thinking it would be cool for him to do some work on it.
Heres some work that Walt did for me a few weeks ago when I was in Fayetteville. the car was originally striped by Marc Fenyo in the eighties and the dash has both Walt's and Fenyo's work. Pretty cool.
i stripe,Chazzin does awsome work too, look for guys wearing Cretins shirt im one of em,and would be glad to stripe something at the show
I will be looking you guys up pretty soon. Me and my Dad's nickname for each other was always "Bubba" and i want to get that striped inside in between the sun visors. Then some other work too but that's the most important to me.
I sent chazzin a PM earlier today and he said that he's planning on being at Dixie Fried with his gear. He's a great guy who does great work!
Check out Tommy Moore At Moores Rod Shop in Dallas Ga.He did my 58 truck several years ago and it looked great. He will be doing my 55 as soon as it is ready.
One of the best stripers in the country has relocated to Florida. His name is Lyle Fisk ,originally from the San Diego area , and very talented. check out his website.
thanks for the compliments everyone, i will be at dixie fried if anybody wants anything done but i would definately recomend anthony white or brian papa
