Anybody know who was running the little black altered called Black Mariah at the HAMB drags? Neat little car running a small load of nitro - leaning it out and getting faster each run. As a nitro junkie I like to stay in touch with fellow nitro burners in the midwest. Thanks!

I couldn't even find them in the registrations!

I'll check my track papers tonight.

That was a cool ride. I was there with my uncle that ran the blue altered with the injected big block chevy that set quick time. I was the one in the black fed that ran 8.31 last pass. If only I had some nitro. My uncle also realized he had his rev limiter set at 6500 or he probably would have been in the 8.50-60 range instead of 8.90's. We will be ready for next year. By the way Ryan good job on the races. I had way more fun than I've ever had at a bracket race.

It ran great! Went by in the pits when they fired it up and I had to see it run after that! They were busy wrenchin so I didn't bother them to get a name.

I'd love to give that thing a ride. Sounded kind of tame when he would stage it, not so much when he turned it loose. Here are a couple of pics of it.

Still have to bracket race because I don't have deep enough pockets to do the heads up junior fuel stuff. I have to have some way to get out and get that rush. But I will take in all the events like the one you guys put on I can find. At least until the wife takes away my billfold.

Thanks Jim! Do you know what their plans are for the car - exhibition only - nostalgia drags etc?? Is it new or something they restored or recreated???

Regarding the Black Mariah at MoKan owned by Jim Henry out of Wichita , that are I , the orange car that is similar is my son Brett's car , the "IRON MISTRESS " , both run on 70% plus nitro .............,very basic iron chrysler wedges with some grinding , the fuel does the work , the Mariah is getting a motor upgrade here in a bit ........

Did you guys build the car? I would love to see construction pics of it. I got the on track pics of it posted above but didn't make it around to look at it up close. See I've got this body stashed in the corner of my shop.............. :D

What the heck here is another pic for good measure. Wish I had been 1/2 second quicker with this one.
