  4. Oh man... that cycle scoot is awesome!

I kinda flipped through this thread... lotta neat mini bikes.

I kinda been getting into them again... bought an unknown one back in Il, Charlie Chops was kind enough to drag it out for me... it's getting a German Wankel Rotary engine... 6.5hp at 55oo rpm!

Through middle school we built a dozen of these in the neighborhood and swapped some engines back and forth between a few go-karts, too. Now, my son is turning 12 in a couple of weeks and I was just talking to my wife about me building one for his birthday. Great memories!

Nope, I was gonna look, but haven't had the time. Pretty sure it's a Kawasaki Coyote. Pretty cool bikes. Should be able to find it on Minidoodle.com

Quick up date - Finally got on the lathe at El pollacko's on Sat. and spun up my fork tubes. welded everything together this morning, and my mini (cat 250) is now a roller! I know all this is worthless with out pictures but I will put some up as soon as I can get some help learning to do so! So, for right now, just close your eyes and visualize a cat 250 (somewhat generic mini bike) with azusa american style five spokes, real cool rear axle plates, a Briggs& Stratton 3hp, and many shades of rust & paint - awww hell - you get the idea!! Hey Jeem get anything done on the Spaniard this weekend?

Yeah, but my #%*&^#$% camera dumped on me. I have a plan for forks, got the headset tube welded and gusseted up (Thanks Gregg). I'm looking for a saw tooth 6" tire for the front, but not a necessity. Eeeet's loooking good!

That would be cool because the motor I found is a kawasaki.

I sand blasted it today and I found model 160 on the back of the forks.

Thank you sir! See it's pretty much like I said to visualize it as! Paint should be soon - metalflake purple with white grips and a white and purple zodiac seat. The louver king - hhmmm I like that!

I took this pic of someone's at the drags in 68. I still have my Fox Sprite that I bought new from Dallas Motorcycle in 1966. I also have the paper plate that came on it and the first metal plate issued for it.

Anyone out there in HAMBland know where I can get parts for a Clinton 3 1/4 HP engine? nothing internal, need springs and inner cup for the rope starting thing. checked all over internet and local repair shops, they looked at me like I had asked for parts to fix noah's ark.

maybe someone has retro fitted another recoil onto the same type of engine?
or maybe an old parts catalog so I know for sure what to look for.

    thanks,ben
