I am looking for the article from American Rodder... Dec 1988... Jerry(Gerry?)
Duncan's 32 five window..... Anybody have it?
Was a light mauve, flatty powered and featured.
I believe the car was totalled after the photo shoot.

Anybody have that issue and if so.... scan the image for me?

    Please and THANK YOU!:)

Nice center spread also, but it's too big for my scanner. Can do it in 2 parts if you like.

Ok...thats very cool and some real cool pm's from guys with great info on this dynamite car.

Here is my second and last request...
there was a light Mauve(metalflake I think) 5 window featured in an old Rodders digest....not chopped,6x2 sbc/chrome fenderwell headers...SW Police special gauges....White accents....

I know this car did get smacked and was never restored(I believe)

Sorry about the confusion on Jerrys car....I heard it was smacked and totaled. but now I have learned it is very much alive

It did, I remember seeing it with part of the roof in brown primer after it got laid over in traffic. I first saw it at BTT50s in the early 90s.

It's all one color again. Looks the same as the magazine feature. I saw it at Des Moines GoodGuys last year or the year before. It might still live in Minnesota.

Sure would like to know the name of the color on the copper colored A.
I am thinking about painting mine satin black with copper colored flames.

I have that American Rodder somewhere. Almost "before my time" (Born in '86) but my buddy gave it to me because "I'm into the oldschool stuff" haha

It's a pretty rad coupe, if you think about the other cars being built at the time, the trends of the 80's, the lack of internet and aftermarket support... he nailed it.

Is there anything you want to know from that issue Jeff? Or do you want it? I'll mail it to you if you still want it, and if I can find it haha.

That Lavender coupe article started me on an 8 year quest to find a Stewart Warner Police Special speedo.
I no longer allow myself to be influenced by the possessions of others.

    Yeah right!

Awwww yeah. The metallic lavender 5w is one of the best as far as proportion. I believe the doooos frame was subtly piecut at the firewall to help with the "swoop". Too much, and that modification can make a car look BROKEN. Done right and.....

There has always been something about that color purple and the red that I've always disliked on the "purple people pleaser"....

Kurt's car (now Ken Bentz's) Has ALWAYS been a favorite. My best friend loved it so much, he built a similar looking 32 5w only in blue.....

  30. Kurt's car has been one of my favorites since I first saw it in the real Rodder's Digest.
