I am in need of a manual trans for a 1949 to 1951 Lincoln Flathead V8.
Let me know if anyone has a decent one for sale.
    Thanks Mark.......Oldiron73.

The standard transmission in the '49-'51 Lincoln was the B-W T-85 with the R-11 overdrive. This was a step up (Heavy duty) from the T-86/R-10 used in the '49-'54 Fords and Mercs. The Fords and Mercs began using the heavier units in '55(?)/ '56. If you can locate one from those later Fords & Mercs up thru whenever they stopped offering O.D. you should be in business. I have two but I'm not in a position to offer either since I've not inspected them to determine which one to shed.

Keep me posted if you come across any other transmissions.

Do you have a bellhousing and clutch parts for it as the 49 to 51 big trucks used those motors and would be a source for those parts.

putting a similar engine, a 1956 V12, into my 1950 F1, but planning on using the truck 4 speed behind it.

I've got the Lincoln trans + OD unit for sale if you are interested.
