Hey guys. Just thought I'd share some pics of Fabian's new race car.

We started building it the weekend after fathers day. It was built in 7 weeks of nights and weekends!

Fabian fabbed the entire 29 roadster body out of aluminum.

It still needs a lot of bodywork (belly pan, roll cage and engine covers, etc..), but we got it out to the salt and Fabian made a couple of shakedown passes at over 180 mph!

We're going to keep plugging away at it and run El Mirage for the rest of the season.

    Tom

WOW! That's awesome! That picture of Fabian "riding" in the roadster with Flintstone brakes is great. Won't be long before you're all in the "200" club. Congrats to the whole team.

Will you be at the Septmeber El Mirage meet? I'll be there to "pop my cherry", and at bonneville a few days later!!!

Need to post a photo on the chain steering wheel thread, if it hasn't been closed yet. Nice job.

Yes, we are planning on running El Mirage Sept meet. Look for our pit on the north(return road) side of the course near the finish line(timing tower).
pm me for my phone # if you want to meet up out there.

Yeah, thats probably the fastest chain steering wheel in history. It's been over 200 in our former rear engine roadster and still holds the record at 195.6 mph at El Mirage.

Here's a pic of our old car. It was built in 6 weeks and we ran it from 2005-2007.

We were pitted acrossed from you guys. It sure sounded good when you fired it. Gave me a chuckle when you put a sun roof in the awning with fire when it fired once.

You guys haven't changed in that club since the 50's. Only you guys would put a chain steering wheel on a 200mph salt car :)

Looks good and mad skills putting it together!

Outstanding. I think you guys have gone though 3 race cars in the time I've been trying to build one. I feel like such a looser...

Wow, what a great looking car but I wouldn't expect anything less from you and Fabian.

Looking forward to seeing what you'll turn with it, good luck!
