This was my granfathers race car, which he ran down the drag strip in the mid 50's. I have been told by one of his friends that it was an old midget they set up for drag racing, but he could not remember much more than that. Looking to identify what this car really was. I want to build one just like it is pictured. Anyone from the San Antonio area, my grandfathers name was Richard Foster and he owned Fosters Service Station off of New Braunfels Ave. A friend of his named Harold Lozano also drove the car. They were part of the Alamo Timing Association and the Rebels Car Club which raced at the Randolph Air Field and Martindale Air Field. Another friend of his that he raced with was Bud Ward, who ran a roadster. Back then the car was maroon with a white frame and the number nine on the side. The car also spent time completely white with a ghost with a derby hat on the rear quarters.
