Used a top section from a wrecked 66 mustang to fill the roof on a 34 Chevy Master Coupe. Perfect curve.

I have put long wheel base Chevy Astro van roofs in a couple of 33/4 tudors. The roof on the long wheel base gives enough panel before a 'box' near the rear of the panel.

Also i have used 78/87 Malibu wagons for Model A sedans, they work well.

I`ve used a couple of early `60`s Nova Roof panels on the 31 and 32 Chevy 5W coupes I did a few years ago.....Try and use thicker, non coated early roof donors, that way they will go in and hammer weld together better....

I was told a 59 60 El Camino roof fits 32 5 windows. of course I have NEVER seen a 59-60 El Camino in a S.F. Bay area Junkyard.

...the backeasteners got way better old junkyards then we do here.

I was told and have seen the results of a 90ish Chrysler mini-van, voyager top fitted to a 30-31 "A" Fordor Sedan. The cross braces on the mini-van roof fit right in the wooden bow slots....or so the guy said! The results looked great. Rick.

judging from all the replies, is there anything that won't work?

I used a 57 chevy wagon roof for my 29 tudor. Fits great. Plus there's no ribs.

.....we used a 80's Cad Deville to fill the roof in on a 29 Dodge 2 dr sedan. Front to rear and side to side contours were perfect, no ribs. The best part was the circus we started at the Pull a Part when we wheeled up the generator and the recip saw and started cutting. The ghetto boys wanted to know what us crackers were gonna do with the Caddy..." easy man, we're making a 57 Chevy out of a Caddy "...that alone was worth the price of admission...

A stock fabric roof insert fits perfectly.

  16. A 1963 Chevy station wagon was the donor for my 32 Chevy sedan.
