My friend scott "a coupe" just bought a very nice all stock running and driving well 1930 model A coupe. He pulled the body and put on a old frame and is chopping the top. Here are a few pictures I have taken so far. The plan for the car is going to be on 32 rails with lots of chrome and a small block chevy.

Looks pretty good so far! It's amazing what a chop will do to change the attitude of a model A so dramatically!

He scribed the line and used the paint as a background to scratch thru

Big improvement, nothing like a chopped Model A. Looks like you cut the right amount, good luck on the project. The FOGGER

Looks great, but i'm curious why he didn't remove the slice from the center of the windows instead of making the verticle cuts next to the windows and the horizontal cut down low.I've never seen a model A done this way

  17. Are you talking about the rear window? Maybe to keep it up at normal height (?) Looks good! Thanks for the pics.

Well I just found out that in NewZealand they dont know anything about structural frames with great lines and engines that have just about the best interchange of any engine ever produced and easily make gobbs of horsepower.. Anyways thanks for the positive press The engine I have is a 283 with tri power, 55 chev rearend and Im running a standard shift three speed. my goal is to have have the roof done and in primer by friday so there should be some more pics soon..hopefully by next week Ill have the garnish moldings done so they can go right to the chrome shop! STAY TUNED....
