I'm putting together a FI, blown, dual plug, Cadillac flathead motor. Roy Dilley (FLATROY), was kind enough to make me this fi blower manifold. The blower will be topped with a tri-power, used for the air induction only. He did a helluva job, too! The motor in the pics is being used for a pattern only.
That's neat. My friend Shaun built this one, thought you might like to look at it. keep us updated with pics
That is an awesome motor! I haven't seen a Caddy flathead done this way yet, so I thought I would. Here is the Ford that inspires me.I'm not sure who owns it. And again, THANKS FLATROY!
I have done a home made blower manifold to a ford flathead her' some pics. It is made of Stainless Steel. The engine is not readey jet.
Really nice stuff, thanks for sharing. Do you have any larger pics of the blower manifold? I like to see how other guys make stuff.
I heard from a guy, who heard from a guy, that knew someone that said they where peaking into the 800's. Is this possible? I would think that would be Arduns and everything if even possible?
I don't know about Ford flatheads, it may be possible with them, but it would be big bucks. The Cadillac block should be able to handle more than the Ford, but you would have to spend a fortune on one-off custom parts, crank girdle, etc.
38Flattie, That is sure going to be one healthy mill you are building. Keep the updates coming for us. 41 Dave
38 Flatie , I feel very inspired by your build you made so very nice pieces. I look forward to seeing pictures of the finished engine, looks like the exhaust might be a little fun. Rob.
The engine goes to Engine Pro 5X on Sept 1, for machine work. I've been building, collecting, and having all the custom components built. When I get the block back, I'll post build pics. It should be one of a kind for a Caddy flathead. Thanks for all the positive response. Thanks to Fiftyv8, Keeper, Flatroy, and Norman Frick for custom parts, and everyone on the HAMB that gave so much advice and direction. Buddy
Bruce (Engine Pro 5X), now has the engine for machine work, so I'll post build pics when the machine work is done. I have a spare block, that I'm using to fab up the rest of the external pieces on. Jeff (fink'd) gets the body for mods in November.
