Glad you are ahead of that dreaded C word. :)

Lost my brother this past Feb to Lung, and a great freind to Pancreatic about 6 years ago.

Get that roadster, buy those parts, piss old C off and live your life. Offering a prayer for your remission.

Glad to hear your health issues are on the upside.

In my opinion, this is probably the last "real" Nats, due to the changes coming next season. So, if you can, yes go. Enjoy and savor the real Nats. I'm sure you can find something in your price range. Got to be a bit of buyers market out there. I wanted to go, but right now, life is in the way.

Enjoy your trip and good luck finding a car. Best wishes. Stu

Seems like about half of the cars at the nats are for sale every year. Some they want to sale, some are just nuts. Good luck with your search, cash always works. Glad to hear you are beating your health issues.

Being a survivor myself, I think it is the "perfect plan". I hope you will document, photo and share your adventure with us. I always tell my friends, "There is nothing like cancer to get your priorities in order". Have a blast!

Congrats & keep up the fight! I'm kind of in the same boat, beat liver & lung cancer so far. Current project is never gonna get done. Been watching the classifieds hoping something grabs me that I can get in and drive.

Nothing beats cruising down the road, radio playing, pipes rumblin'.

well maybe look for a wood boat..lol

yea I experienced enough floods at the Nats... something that floats maybe the answer

  18. Glad to hear you are winning.

I second the vote for a roadster, fun in the sun and easy to sell when the time comes for the "wood thingy"

Look real close. You sound like you know what you're doing and some stuff I've seen that looks good I won't drive around the block. I'm happy you're also winning the fight. My mother-in-law is winning hers right now as well so I can feel it. Good luck and like has already been said let us know what you found.

convert into a woodie? Isn't that more project time? Stick with something that you can just drive and tinker with a little.

Kirk, That is great news!!!! I just asked my wife if she had heard anything from yours on your progress. I guess they don't run into each other much. I just picked up 50's built 40 sedan if you are looking in that era.

    Keep the good news coming...

The NSRA nats north in Kalamazoo MI is often referred to as the "For Sale Nationals"
if you do not find anything south, head North next month.
