13 more times, I'm gonna vomit on my shoes.

out of all of his posts i bet 99% of them are bitching and complaining!!! So listen up guys a "MERC" is now a (insert year here) MERCURY, a '49-51 ford is no longer a "shoebox", and the term "sled" is now replaced with "really low (insert car and year here)"

on another note, great job so far and as many have said keep the pics coming. What are some other plans for it? i see the nose is roughed up...you planning on shaving everything *edit...slang term, sorry*. Do you plan on removing emblems and door handles and then filling the holes in with filler metal and then welding the holes shut then following up with grinding the welds down for a nice smooth finish LOL

  4. "Lowered" would be better.

I thought its was nice to see a some one reference a "rockstar" again.
I knew right away it was a 49-54 Chevy.

Go ahead, use rockstar. It’s a HAMB tradition.

Ahhh the good old days, huh Tman?

  6. wow....listen to all the new guys bitch about Rockstar......if only they knew...

This new guys got some talent, some interesting ideas, but the moron crew jumps his shit because he said Rockstar.

Wow this one went off the tracks pretty quick!

Now why is shoebox offensive again?!? or is that a 55-57 chevy thing where they say THEIR cars are the REAL shoeboxes?

I never knew what rockstars with torquewrenches were in reference too...but now I do...it refers to 'big girl patrollers!' :D

Got the front all finished up but I ran out of welding gas yesterday, so its all just tacked into place, so once I get everything welded up Ill post some more pics of the progress, and the car on the ground......

  14. Dang-it, I hate it when a guy runs out of welding gas, mid weld. The welding and fabrication so far, is looking really good!

Kinda got sidetracked with my other car yesterday so I only got to work on it for a few hours. Here's the pics of the front all welded up. I also decided to step the lower control arm while I had it all apart. Once I get my tig welder fixed Im going to make some dropped uprights for it. But its low enough for now.Its layin on the exhaust but I got a switch on the dash that will fix that. Also ordered some bilstein shocks for it but they are two weeks out.

big girl patroler Not an Aussie term (dont think)

I own a 52 Chevy but I dont get this. Please explain this one for me.

    Excellent tech thread

  21. I dont think you will need lowered uprights since you stepped the A-arms. Looks like you are already on the frame. Todd

I think the Fab work outshines the bitching and complaining.
    I have a 53 Chevy AND a 55 Desoto. Settled.
