I've studied that painting. The exhaust pipes are one of the coolest parts of the painting. Looks like you nailed it, yours are equally awesome, nice to see 'em in real chrome :D:D.

Don't know what area the truck will be in. He said he might have to bring it in on a trailer if it's not running. If he does he might have to bring it to the Hot Rod repair area just to get it in the door. Depends on how much of a stickler they will be.

Every possible comment on this one has been posted already, i just wanted to add that there arent enuff wow or amazing to match the level of his skills. I might have seen a shop pull such a build w/ a joint effort of very talented staff, but one guy doin this n his own in less than a year is totally sci-fi, regardless of the subject, then beeing inspired by a weesner drawing sends it into orbit.....oh and BTW, i'd love to see it in green :)

First I want to thank 193257 for making this thread, second I want to thank Jimmy for acquiring the skill set to make work like this possible. I love to see builds like this, the skill involved is out of this world. Seeing this sort of work just brings up a million questions in my head. One day I hope I can muster 10% of the skills your friend Jimmy has obtained. This is some of the best work and probably one of the best shops I have seen as far as usability and the amount of tooling. Would love to be a fly on the wall in that shop for a couple of years.

Can't wait to see more pictures of this truck. Thanks for sharing.

this thread is like crack, no matter how hard you try to get off it you cant, and even when you do you have to come back for more.

this build is truly awe inspiring, i think every one here wants to someday have just a small amount of the skill he holds.

Sorry about being a day late and a dollar short but here's the latest. Jimmy worked way into the night on Tuesday because he had to leave on wensday and he had not fired the motor yet. He got up early on Wensday and the guy that went through the motor came over to give him a hand. The guy you see in the first pic is the guy that went through the motor along with Jimmy and his son under the dash trying to finish the wiring enough to get it up on the trailer for now. Its not quite runing and driving material yet but it will be when he gets home from the NATS. He fires the motor @ 9:00 AM on Wensday and loads it on the trailer @ 9:30 AM.

He made it to Louisville and into the show late wensday afternoon. Hope all of you get to see this piece of talent someday. It's worth the look. Enjoy.
