Stock "A" radiator w/ chevy V-8 ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by INVISIBLEKID, Aug 2, 2009.

  1. I have a STOCK v-8 that I will drop in my A.I also have a freshly re-corred stock radiator. It will be fenderless and hoodless. It will also have a giant electric fan that measures 16'' across that blows 2600cfm. Just wondering if someone's used the stock rad for your v-8 swap, and if it worked out. Like I said,STOCK=no cam, compression. I don't have anyone to compare notes with,or any cars to look at. Help! Thanks-Kid:confused:

Unless you had it totally rebuilt for a pressurized system (I don't think recoring is enough), no, it won't work. The A motors didn't use a pressurized cooling system.
