Hi, That's a 1929 Dodge standard six. I was looking for a body like that for about 10 years before I sold my project. The body line on the cowl, and the bead around the edge of the fender gives away the year. Hope that helps, Bob

These cars were a little ahead of their time as they came with juice brakes and a mostly all steel body (top of the roof still used fabric though). Roomy inside too, relatively speaking.

Although harder to find parts for these old Chryslers than the common Fords of the era, the parts are out there (case it point- the fenders off my brother's Victory Six after I steal the chassis), it just takes a little more digging. Finding a hood and grille shell is probably gonna set you back a bit more than the hundred buck buy in, though.

That chassis is straight forward with semi ellipticals front and rear, and beefy side rails would make it easy to add a late model Mopar steering chuck (manual or power). Later Mopar tube front axle (double dip) is easy to adapt, if you like that look and can find one. Semi ellips at the rear also make it simple to adapt the rear axle of your choice with perches added or moved the right distance apart. Gas tank sits in the rear not unlike the later 32 Ford.

And last but not least, the engine bay is long enough to accommodate anything from a slant six to a HEMI without moving the radiator or screwing with the firewall.

No way to pass that up for $100! Those are the kind of deals that add tension to an other-wise fine marriage when they get carted home...:D

    I dig em!

I like the stance of the second one, but with a slight angle chop, like this

got it home, and got all the wasps out of it finally.

I swear that there must have been like 50 freekin nests in the thing! 3 cans of bee spray later, and im still finding some!

Got it in the shop to just look things over, and im really happy with it!

    Enjoy!

If you really want to see the potential of this thing, what this guy did is simply amazing.

It may be a little too streetroddy for some on here, but at least it's not done up as a teased, tortured, and caricatured rat rod incantation of it's former self.
