August 1&2. It's coming up fast. Who's going to be there? I'm unable to go to Bonneville this year, so I'm still going to get my "fix" in Maine. I'll be taking my grandson with me. He's turning into a regular gearhead, so this should get his attention. Here's the link to answer any questions. http://www.lta-lsr.com/HOME.htm
My friend and I are making a roadtrip out of it so I will be bringing my camera and certainly getting loads of pictures. I hope it turns out to be a big event. Does anyone know whats required at the minimum to race? Is there a rulebook or manual available? I'm totally new to this.
Motorcycle this year ... Vintage Comp Coupe next year ... I will be teching bikes ... there are over 50 entries so far ... I am guessing that there will be 70 entries ... split evenly between cars and bikes ... Mile and a half with good paving, 800 feet altitude ... Joe ...

I think I meet you at Oley two years ago, you run a '37 Big Twin Harley at Maxton right? I should get up there, it is closer than Maxton and Bonneville, plus the FIRST time for anything is special.
WoW! Sturgis Bonneville Westboro MA Loring Louisville All the same weekend I'll be in Louisville for the 40th. Good luck on Loring for the 1st Dennis
I will be there. My friend will be bringing his Blue 67 chevelle out for the first time in along while. he has run almost 180 at maxton. All steel car . Come by and say hi.
Well I am on my way to the beach then on to Maine from there. I problaly be inspecting bikes. I will be wearing my 2 club hat from maxton with a set of dolphins on it or my cowboy hat. and I will be crewing for my friend with a 67 Chevelle Blue stop by and say hi. Todd B.
"Other life" stuff threw a wet blanket over a '09 B'ville safari for me. 490 miles vs 2500 to Mecca and about 900 to Maxton, how can I resist? Sky doesn't fall in the meantime I'll be there as one of the 260 go fers. Ed
We're taking I-95 up for the majority of the trip from Boston to Loring AFB... Are there any must-visit places along the way? I'm not talking about the regular tourist attractions-type stuff... I'm talking about any cool junkyards, deserts, forests, just cool places to cruise around, etc.?
The Northern Maine Fair (I think it used to be called the Aroostock County Fair) is the same weekend. Info: http://www.northernmainefairgrounds.com/ Loring AFB is an approximate 8 hour drive from Boston, Mass (its WAY up there).
No Way thats pretty wild my old man was stationed up there. Almost flipped a full size bus...he was spinning on the icey runway and hit a dry spot bus came up and went back down haha lucky for him it landed on the rubber side
Ill be up there piloting this for my friend and coworker... Turbo, nitrous, 650, pushrod, partially streamlined BSA. 55chevr, see you at the tech line .
