Had a good weekend with great friends a bunch of nice cars!

Uncle John picked me up on Friday afternoon around 3:00 and we made the four hour drive down to Salina, straight to the drags.
When we arrived, we found out you had to register at the host hotel in order to participate in the drags. (they really should have someone at the drags doing registration, also) We decided to just hang out at the drags for a while, grab some dinner, then hang out at the host hotel parking lot.

First a funny town name in Nebraska

Extremely nice Cabriolet! We talked to the owner for a bit - super nice older gentlemen from Salina. It sounded like the car was just recently finished.

That pretty much wraps up the photos. We made it back to Omaha around 1:00, in time for the S.O.B. (South Omaha Boys) Bonneville kickoff party. Much of the Omaha/Lincoln crew made it to that, also. Denise joined us for the fun weekend, also. I hope she enjoyed herself and look forward to seeing her photos.

Had a great weekend with everyone -- Thanks alot, guys!

hey man - it was great to seeya again - sorry I was not able to talk to ya more at the drags......there was a lot going on that night huh? How about that truck that had the 505 in it - that was the crowd pleaser!

I had a really good time even though I was not feeling 100% - think it was exhaustion.......I am not used to driving ALL night from Syracuse NY to Iowa - then ALL night from Iowa to Salina.......I am getting too old for that!!!

Even the high energy drinks dont seem to help!

    ha

    hope to seeya in August

Great photos! I saw my '31 A in the background of one of your shots. That was a fun show, wasn't it? We drove up from Wichita for Sat. only. Next year we gotta make it Friday and Sat. to do some drag racing. Can't wait! Oh, and it was a real pleasure to meet Denise. What a gal!
