I havn't posted much lately but I did get this painting done this week. First time I ever used lace in one of my paintings.

It's always good to check out the friday art show and check out some super artwork. Fine work this week also as usual.

I will be wandering around Billitproof TX this weekend though, so that will be good. Hope to meet up with some fellow HAMBers. I had planned on being a vendor but it just did not work out.

Love the motion in the bkgrnd.

I modified the framing I did on Hammett's '36, cause what I did before pretty much sucked.:(

Revisiting the tables from last week. Here is 10 hours of accelerated oxidation in front of a Port-a-cool sprayed first with a rust accelerator. Will clear finish to kep it from rubbin off on the rich folks coffee mugs. Got asked a lot about the rust finish last week. And yes I can make it flaky. Syrup in water 50/50 will blacken in the sun and alter the oxidation in spots just like tree sap does. I have a piece that is a year old that looks worse than a Model A I used to have. Posted the rust not so much the tables...they're easy its the finish thats the work.

Wow!!! Man, some great work as usual!!!! Here are a few things I've been messing with. Our car club, The Kreatures, are making the trophy for "Best Hot Rod" at Billetproof Texas this weekend. The first photo is that trophy. The rest are shirts that I'm having printed to start my own apparel company called Dart Designs. Shirts should be ready soon. Enjoy!

BAWH! That's great stuff, Dart. Where are you going to have the tees available? Have your seen your printer's work? I'm a tee snob. With graphics as awesome as yours, they have to be done right. -APOC.

Thanks. I've seen his work before with one color stuff, but not full color. I'll have some test rags printed before final approval on the full color work. I appreciate the kind words. Eventually, I'll be setting up an online store for this stuff, plus selling them at car shows, along with prints of my art. Just trying to come up with the cash and time off work to hit the show circuit.

Here's a Fink that Joe Lockwood did for me last nite. The helmet I did in Alsa mirrachrome with candy green scallops. This is the first rat fink Joe has painted. Fact is this is the first Joe has ever painted with one shot and a real paint brush. He is such an incredable raw talent if he had some guidence from someone in the business..........

    Awesome show this week!!!

Nothing new that I can show right now, but here are a couple oldies I did in college back circa 1993. These are both watercolor on 22x30 Arches 140# cold press. They were painted simultaneously (work on one while a layer is drying on the other).
