After lurking for a long while, enjoying reading the great information here, I've finally got myself an old car (a 1955 Buick Roadmaster) to work on. So here I am a newbie. Hello to all from jolly olde England !
Welcome from a former Brit!! Nice Buick...make sure to look up the "Limeys of the HAMB" social group in here too.
Welcome from Maryland! How the hell did we let that Buick out of this country?? That is really a nice ride...love the color combo. Where in England are you located? I recently sold an antique Travco Motorhome to a fella near Liverpool. He races vintage Lotus cars and the Lotus team had a Travco 30+ years ago...so he had to own it... Murph
Thanks for the welcome.. Just joined the Limeys social group, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Murph - thanks for the welcome. Looking at the paperwork the Buick has been in the UK since 1990, been various colours too. But I love the current colours - one of the reasons I went to look at it in the first place. I live in Hull which is on the east coast almost directly across from Liverpool.
NICE ride... Ever one I have know from England have been great and also motorheads. Welcome from Texas
Thanks for all the welcomes. Also good to see there are plenty of other Brits on here. The car runs good at the moment, so I'm gonna have a summer enjoying it, driving it, going to shows etc. and then I'll make a start on doing the few jobs. All mainly cosmetic, like getting both bumpers re-chromed.
Your not kidding about those bumpers, they are BIG...I've started saving already and hoping to get them done during the winter. Tim - only just got the car a couple of weeks ago. Hoping to go to my first show in the car this weekend up at Bridlington.
