It might be...I think I'm wrong on the 5.7 or 6.1L Hemi, the oil filter isn't right, and some other stuff isn't either...

And it doesn't look like a modular ford...

Cadillac was really thinkin' when they put the starter under the intake on those Northstars..

Well then I'm back to the Lloyd. I'm doing the same thing just spread out. Why are there rules on this anyway?

Bugatti aircraft engine, but not the one from the Bugatti aircraft itself, which used two mounted end-to-end.

This one has two side-by-side on one crankcase, sort of an H-16, concocted by some American fellow whose name escapes me.

Yes. That's pretty much it for my wierd engine stash. I will throw in one more but it's pretty famous. Been pictured by others here before which is where I copped the picture. Well since I'm here I'll throw in some easy ones. The yellow one in the background is my Plymouth 4 cylinder flathead. We are not guessing on that.

This is a piston engine devoloped by the USA at the end of WW2.At full power it used over 500 gallons of gas per hour, What is it?

Guffey, I'm really interested in your Offy-like four banger. It appears to be water cooled with the cylinder fins as an extra, 4-valve and with dual ignition. Are those Winfield carbs? I've no idea what it is. Can you tell us something about it?

Truckedup, I believe that monster motor is a Lycoming XR-7755.

It was devoloped late in WW2,but no aircraft at that time needed such a large engine.Running examples made 5000 hp with 7000 hp possible .Just after the war the Lycoming 7745(cubic inches) was scheduled for use in the B-36 6 engine bomber. But politics prevailed and the B-36 was powered by 6 P&W 4360 air cooled radials of about 3500 hp each. Not enough power for such a giant plane. It was water cooled,36 cylinders arranged in 9 banks of 4 cylinders each.
Studabaker supposedly had even a larger engine, nearly 9000 cubic inches, but none ever were actually ran.
