I think you are right on w/the 30 something theory. It's hard to deny The A-Team was a very powerful influence.

Like this young man Kirk we are honoring, his car is influental and inspiring. Hard work, talent, ambition, all fundamentals of the A-Team I would say, all critical to the sucsess Kirk is now enjoying. You may recall the Teams unofficial front man Hannibal used to say "I love it when a plan comes together", well Kirks plan came together in a big way. Well done proud Snuggler, well done.

    Sincerely,
    16 Time Mr. Nude Milwaukee

  11. I'd ask if I could get mine autographed by KIRK! but I don't want to hurt the resale value.:D

Seriously, It's a huge honor just to have TRJ shoot your car, and ten times cooler that it made the cover. Congratulations to KIRK! and Gambino Kustoms.

That looks like some seriously great photo work. I'm still tryin' to figure out how to take pics of people without having their eyes turn red.

I love how understated the cover is. "1960 Ford" is the wording. The picture really is worth 1000 words!!

For the second time this week (CheaterCarl's car was first) if this were print, my pages would be stuck together!

So when will that tub be going across the block at Barrett-Jackson? :)

I can hear Steve Davis now; "Folks, this car was on the COVER of the Rodder's Journal. It's not just some old Ford painted up all pretty by a bunch of hoodlums, this is the real deal!"

Now I can brag to all my friends; "Hey see that car on the cover of TRJ? Yep, I know that guy!"

Serious honor, Kirk, and serious congrats to you and all the Gambino guys involved. Well, deserved.

I have been in love with this car since the first time I saw it. And everytime I've seen it since, I spend a ridiculous amount of time going over every detail. Walking up close, stepping back and eyeing it, back and forth. It's like seeing it for the first time everytime. There are not many cars that draw me in like this one does. Excellent job! One of the most well-executed/beautiful 60's customs ever done. Congratulations on an honor which is well-deserved.

And yes, "That guy with the coupe", this is about as fucking traditional as it gets.

    Concratulations Kirk and Alex.
    The cover looks fantastic.
I cant wait to read the full story in it.
I heard Geoff Miles and Steve Coonan spend a lot of time capturing the paint job on the car just right...

    Congratulations.... hippy pants.

    Gambino rules.

  29. Congratulations Kirk .... Maybe you should get a really good scan of the front cover or buy another issue for the front cover so you can frame it ... I would.

  30. I believe what he is referring to is that the lace used in the paint job was only manufactured between 1976 - 1983...
