Event Coverage Midwest car shows 300 miles from chicago

Krooser and I are putting together a motor to give away at the Shakedown!!!!

it's a 327 Chevy Small Block.

So far we have a block, engine kit, fully rebuilt heads and a crank. The machine work is also donated.
We are looking for a trick intake manifold, Carb, oil pan and some valve covers to complete it. If anyone would like to donate some parts, let me know.

All vehicle participants will get a chance to win, we will be selling tickets for it from now until the show. Cost is probably going to be $5 a chance and 1/2 of the proceeds will go to a charity of our choice. The other half will cover the remaining expenses we will have to put this motor together.

Hello, Oct. 3rd and 4th it's Cruise to the Woods ( Ft. Dodge Iowa). Usually 1000+ cars, trucks, customs etc. 7-8 cruise routes from all corners of Iowa meet at one site to form one of the largest cruises around. Check it out at www.wccruisers.com .

the day AFTER the Symco Shakedown is the Hunnert Car Heads-Up. Sort of an offshoot of the Pileup... but all drag racing. Put up or shut up time.

If you have not registered for camping or a swap space, don't worry, we have room for you! Check out the blog on our site, I added some photos of the RV/overflow camping area. It has electric hookups and water access.

 

Newport is always the first Sunday of October. Time trails can be the last saturday in september.

The Greaserama has been mentioned before, but this is as cool a show as any goin. The Old Drive Inn theatre is great and the action is non-stop, Los Punk Rods are the hippest group around. This event has a lot to offer , hotrods, bikes, bicycles, race machines, nonstop tunes by great bands, fab. art show, super vendors with some very cool one of a kind goods. Drive Inn movies at dark, nostalgia snack bar, roaming drink vendors, lots of hot bettys. B there or B square!! ~Sololobo~

that is just a great time

anyone hear what movies they are showing - I am hoping for Bride of Frankenstein!
