Check out what my son and I found at a local junkyard. Pictures could be better but you get the idea. 1935 Willys panel truck. $500.

As long as the rust is free. LOL I would hate to pay for rust.:);)

At least you did not list it as a "barn find".

1935s with the crank out windshield are very rare - reputedly only 88 made, as opposed to 337 of the fixed windshield 1936. If you are serious that it was $500 you had better have bought it.

The belt line body molding is impossible to find but the rear door is available in 'glass.

Here is a late 1936 - it has the 16 " 1937 type wheels - not the more common 17" artillery wheels. This one belongs to Jokers member Al Engel in the SF Bay area.

Great deal! Guess they didn't know what they had. Does the thing not roll? Moving it with a forklift like that doesn't seem like the best idea.

Awsome score! I actually think those are a step up from a coupe!

  20. How hard did you have the gun in the guys back to give you that kinda deal????

  21. Somebody sold that to a late model salvage yard in the first place?

That's a total no-brainer buy at $500, even if you don't want to build it, you could flip it I wouldn't be surprised if it brought enough money to buy a finished Model A or similar rod of some sort.

Thay were from the father of a friend of the junkyard owner. The father passed away and the property was sold. The new owner wanted them removed from the property.

  25. Please don't butcher such a rare truck. It should be properly restored.
(With the correct injected 392 Hemi, 4 speed hydro and olds rear. And you'll also be needin' the original kidney bean Halibrands, LOL )
That's gonna be one badass truck when it's done. Good luck with your new project.

He has a bunch of other stuff. I'll post pictures ASAP. As for the Chevy, I plan on restoring it. Just not soon. I'm in the middle of restoring my 34 Chevy truck. And I'm a FORD guy. Go figure!
