Dave Edmunds and Graham Parker crawling from the wreckage!!! forgot about this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWtvyd1F5Mo CRAWLING FROM THE WRECKAGE (Graham Parker) Status Quo Also recorded by : Dave Edmunds; Nick Lowe; Rockpile. Got out really early from the factory Driving like a nut in the rain Don’t think I was acting so hysterically But I didn’t see a thing until it came Man the drunks were verbal in the takeaway Beating up the chinese at the counter I put a few inside me At the end of the day I took out my revenge On the revolution counter Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage You’d think by now at least that Half my brain would get the message Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Into a brand new car In walks bud with his exploding nose He’d been giving it maximum today He shouted how the devil You in trouble I suppose But all you ever do is run away Turned up the motor into hyper-drive I wasn’t gonna take any of that Don’t get bright ideas about a suicide ’cause all I ever hear Is zoom wam bam past me Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage You’d think by now at least that Half my brain would get the message Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Into a brand new car Crawling, crawling, crawling from the wreckage Crawling, crawling, crawling from the wreckage Crawling, crawling, crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Bits of me are scattered In the trees and in the hedges Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Into a brand new car Nothing seem to happen that ain’t happened before I see it all through flashes of depression I dry up my drink and hear People running for the door God I make some kind of impression ’cause when I’m disconnected from the driving wheel I’m only half the man I should be But metal hitting metal isn’t all I feel And everything is good as It possible could be Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage You’d think by now at least that Half my brain would get the message Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Into a brand new car Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Bits of me are scattered In the trees and in the hedges Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Into a brand new car Crawling from the wreckage Crawling from the wreckage Crawling, crawling Crawling from the wreckage
Is this a novelty song? I certainly hope so.. Otherwise there's no excuse for something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFacWGBJ_cs&feature=related
Thanks for postin the tunes, moon!!!! I first heard it on dr.demento when I was a pup. Cool man, real gone.
We've completely forgotten about the famous world war 1 flying ace here. It took me hours to put this video together, it's three sources, the original footage from It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown of the dogfight, the song from the Royal Guardsmen, and footage of them performing it. the footage at the end and the song are different audio sources, but I was able to sync it together perfectly. anyway enjoy it, one of my favorite novelty songs of all time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJtYvsDKQV8
How about this for novelty, makin the music with the oldies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbN-jO11vKg&feature=related
anybody who is a pilot will notice he is preflighting the airplane, checks the "tailskid" gets on the dog house, checks the controls, then when he starts it he's pumping the primer to get that big round engine going, he's also looking over the "nose" and doing S turns to see where he's going, watch his feet on the "rudder pedals" It's interesting that Charles Schultz was also a pilot. LOL. most people wouldn't catch that. I did notice that he seems to have a control yoke and i believe the sopwith was a stick ,maby the beagle version has a control yoke
on good tunes for cruising or working on your car, just found my copy of the Eddie and the Crusiers soundtrack, It's been out of print for years, I had found this one in some used CD's , pretty much anything on Volcano records is impossible to find anywhere. It's John Cafferty and the Beaver brown band. Pm me if you want to ask me about it not selling anything don't worry. I would never part with my copy
I just pulled this off of an LP I forgot I had, I thought I had copied all my Cosby stuff, this is Vintage Bill Cosby 200 MPH, the bit where he's making fun of volkswagons and italian cars, and the one where he meets Carol Shelby and gets his custom 427 cobra, very very funny stuff. I had forgotten all about this. I'm uploading to 4shared right now, so the link will be up in a few minutes, this is very much on topic, very funny car humor from the genius of comedy. it will be up in just a few minutes.
here it is, just download it to your music folder, it's a large mp3 so it may take a few minutes, the entire bit is 23 minutes long, well worth the listen, I hope no one complains about it being here, I do wonder how long it's been since anyone listened to it. recorded back when you could buy a 427 cobra brand new. The bit making fun of the VW bugs is a riot too. and his impersonation of Carol Shelby is dead on. http://www.4shared.com/file/165958489/cb9efe54/bill_cosby_200_mph.html
Thanks, lostforawhile for posting that Bill Cosby file. That was great! You are coming up with the best stuff on this thread!
Here's an old gem, the Happy Scnappes combo pull my finger polka, must be a nothern thing, I remember a lot of this type of stuff when I was a kid in Northeast Ohio http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ziZfnljbbI
Most novelty songs are sort of nerdy and maybe a bit square. Not this one. It was considered hip when it came out. Screamin' Jay Hawkins puts a spell on you...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kGPhpvqtOc
here's another great video, I think pretty much everyone here can relate, check out the "audience" in the music court , one f my favorite rock and roll videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ph7oZnBH05s
