36 Plymouth-I actually owned this car while I was in college and it was my everyday driver. Car was originally built in the mid 80's by a guy named Rusty Melton (talented sumbitch). When I owned it it was orange with blue scallops, had the original grill (laid back), front end had been extended, but not to the extent that it is now. I sold it to my buddy Jeff about 11 years ago and he had it rebuilt. The car still resides in the North TX area.

Let me know if you need any specific info on the car.

Thanks for the hard work on the great pics. I haven't been able to make it to Des Moines for the last few years. Enjoyed it years ago and sold some sprint, midget, hot rod stuff at the swap meet and always met really great people. How big was the swap meet this year as far as cool parts and/or vehicles ?

Awesome pics man! That's my silver 63' Buick on Supremes, my Dad's white 65' Galaxie with the spiders and rings, and my brothers blue 63' Olds on supremes that he bought from my Dad. Thats the first time I have been down there in about 5 years and it was a great show!
Nice mix of different cars, styles, etc. We all made reservations for next year!

Thanks to everyone who came over and enjoyed just a good time sitting / eating some great Iowa Pork chops / BEER and listening to some tunes on the back patio.

Mrs. Cob had fun but was tuckered out on Saturday and took a long nap Saturday afternoon while I was at the fairgrounds.

Omaha Guys - Nick - Gary and gang good to see you guys again and thanks for the Burgers on Saturday - they were good !

Bob K - best Pork Chops ever huh !

You shouldn't need to download anything. The photos are just hosted on the Photobucket site. Are you at work, and that site is possibly blocked?

Here's a link to the 'album':

Looks like a pretty good show. Nice to see a few Buick's representing.

  19. Great selection of pics Nick! Thanks for posting them all. Nice to see you again at the meet and greet on Saturday, I wish I could have made Cob's place on Friday night too. The rain was a pain but at least it wasn't hot for a change (all that almost rhymes!!)

Super shots Nick!! I love the little gift in the seat of the Ford after the squeling pass. Great driving, very good time. Thanx for taking me to the events. Cobs gig looked like a good one, can't beat those Iowa pork chops!! The pix on the road were really cool!! Rock on!! ~Sololobo~

Thanks for posting some great shots!

  24. Very authentically cool looking. Love the cutouts, shoe polish windshield lettering, WW's, no caps and overall look -- like out of a 48 year old time machine.
