OT - Wooden car with older car styling in MI?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pro Stock John, Jul 4, 2009.

  1. I was driving on 127 or 69 or something going from Mackinac Island to Sturgis MI, and saw a wooden bodied car/truck going the other way, had late 30's styling. Might not have been real wood but it sure looked like it.

    Anyone? :)

You were driving from Mackinac Island?

Car was probably coming from or going to the St. Ignace Car Show June 25-27 – one of the really great car shows.

  3. I was driving from, he was driving towards, but I was driving back on 7.3.09 so it was after that show. It was weird, it was a car with a wooden body of some kind.

Mackinac Island is an island, and no cars are allowed. Kind of hard to drive there.

Morgan (UK) still make a wooden bodied V8 powered sports car. Looks kinda like a lower swoopy MGTC.
