That '35 was badass.....the story on the car is really cool. It was a drag car WAY back......the owner just got it up and running a week before the show. You could see the various layers of old paint under the old primer topcoat, each layer having it's own pinstriping follwing the bodyline.:)

DOH!!! Yes...the '33....he said '35 with towbar, so I wasn't paying attention to the year, haha......was there another car there with a towbar????

  17. That 33 cabriolet was bad ass. Wonder were it gt dug out of? Headers looked out of place on it though, and I would not have sawzalled holes in the fenders for the new exhaust to run through...but thats just me.

  18. That photo is amazing. What made you decide to drive it between Moses Lake and Ritzville?

Yes, that was us. (the wife picked your wagon as her favorite of the day). The flathead was running strong, but the old bias ply whitewalls didn't feel too good above 65 mph.

Our wives have the same taste. It's her car. :)

My dad fell a little behind us in his '40 convertible with his flathead and bias tires. I think he had to pull over to shut the hood though. Did he ever pass you on I-5? Just trying to figure out how far back he actually got. :)

    kick ass shots Chris...

  28. So does that mean that you will actually have you in the fairgrounds on Saturday?
Because I saw it last year on Friday night at the host hotel and spent all day Saturday & Sunday tying to find it in the show, so I could take a picture of it.

I never realized that you NW guys had to put up with such a lame bunch of hot rods.:rolleyes::D
Seriously, thanks for taking the time to post coverage of what must have been a super event. Not only am I jealous of the rolling stock but the scenery out there is to die for. I always thought a hot rod trip to the PNW would be a worthwhile adventure, your coverage sealed the deal.
