    Trailer queens!!! :)

Seriously, I don't know wether to applaud your skills, or tell you you're an idiot!!! It gave me a heck of a chuckle though. Good job getting them both here safely, they both look like nice cars.

I bet your new neighbors were impressed. The only guy I know that would do some shit like that is...me. But I'm a cheap bastard! Something must have happened to force you from AZ to the Peoples Republic of California. Your stuff is nicer than my stuff but I think California outlawed fender less cars....I'm sure the neighbors have called the EPA by now. Haul em back across the Colorado and I'll pick em up!
    Good luck AZ/Willis I mean CA/Willis?

I went along on a trip to retrieve 3 1928 Buicks once, we had two trailers. The most complete car went in the smaller trailer, and the other two were disassembled. But the two frames would not fit lengthwise in the other trailer. So rather than leave one behind, we put one frame in first, all the way forward, then strapped a board onto each back wheel, making ramps, and pushed the second frame up over the back end of the first in a similar arrangement. It worked.

  17. That's definitely the "Make it work" attitude.... I love it.

At least it was a gooseneck trailer, instead of a pull-along, and that's some kind of rubber on the trailer in the second pic. It's getting where some of the smaller auto transport companies are using gooseneck trailers capable of carrying 4-6 cars. As a joke, you should have strapped a surfboard on top of it all, "California or Bust". Butch/56sedandelivery.

  21. Overall hieght could have been a problem but both cars appear to be light so I doubt you over loaded the trailer. If the trailer was not over loaded and had working brakes, there would be no reason for the law enforcement to be involved. Of course limiting of speed and the correct towing vehicle would be safety factors. I say a good use of Ingenuity.

  22. Acually a lot of the older Commerical car transport Haulers were tag-a-long traillers. The were just built heavy duty and used heavy duty trucks. The trucks used were lowprofile rigs and many times the tow vehicle haul a car up top. I have talked to many guys who drove them and the were a Hand-full.

Somewhere I have a pic of Ken Scraeder's Staurday Nite racing rig, and he pulls two cars on one trailer just the the original poster did. He has a dirt late model up front on the trailer, with the back up in the air, and an IMCA style modified underneath it. He used a section of an old car hauler with hydraulic lifts to raise the front car up. He pulls it with a late 60's Chevy ramp truck with a midget on the back, so he has three race cars with him when he pulls in the pit gate, and an almost guarantee that they will be racing at least on type of the cars behind him.

I woulda made two trips....or strapped a trailer on the back of the more powerful car and hauled the other. Or, old ford wishbones make kickass tow bars.....
