It was my sons first real guy trip this past weekend. We left on Thursday and went to Bowling Green for the Museum and the Reunion. We met up with some friends when we got there and also my brother in law and father in law who were reunion"virgins" came friday.

here are some pics from the museum.

The Model car display was awesome.
The two guys with my son were friends of mine and I think they enjoyed my sons reactions to the whole experience as much as I did.

Here are some from the reunion
My son was amazed as was I. Instead of the " guy trip " we should have called it the " Hotter than the gates of hell tour " but at least it did not flood while we were there.

My son said "I am coming back next year just you try and stop me because I am one of the guys" . My father and brother in laws said "us to".

All in all it was a good time again this year.

we will be back for more next year. And to all you hambers I met this year and who bought magazines from me at the holiday inn thanks and I will see you next year

I woould like to thank Barbara Hamilton and Mike Cook and Joe Mondello they were 3 of the nicest people you would like to meet.
They took time to make my little man feel special.

Yep, the factory tour is interesting, on the rare week that they're open. Don't know what it is about the place, but BG seems to have 2 kinds of weather: hotter'n hell and/or raining. thanks for the pics!

Thanks guys, I am real proud of my family. Cars and Bikes are a big part of who I am but my hellions are my chance to live on even after I am gone. One day one or both of them will hopefully stop and think "this is something dad taught me the old man was pretty damn cool" then maybe they can teach thier kids if I am not around...
Hopefully I will get a chance to be a good Papaw. My Papaw is 82 years old and still comes and plays with my kids Monday thru Friday for about 2 hours a day he is a pretty cool old fart.

I took my 14 yr old son and this our first HHR. We were talking about what his first set of wheels might be on the way there. He wanted a Chevy 4x4 before we got there......now he wants a real hotrod.....and he wants to build it himself with a little help from dad of course. I told him the girls at school probably wouldn't want to be seen in an "old car" and he said he wouldn't date a girl that isn't into old cars. Now he has the bug worse than I ever had..........I'm so damn proud of him!!

Thank you for bringing your son. We have got to pass this along to the next generation and that is how you do it. I grew up going to shows with my Dad and that is what got me hooked. Always like it when the kids are interested in the cars and he was. He really seemed to enjoy getting in our dragster and that is what makes the weekend for me as a owner.
