Winfield just got a little older.

Happy 82nd, Gene!!!!!

Tuesday was Gene's big day! We had cake and ice cream and a nice little fruit bouquet (Gene's secret ingredient) and a few friends dropped by to wish him well. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera that day, but I had it Wednesday when this other old guy showed up!



He's still goin' strong, and still putting us young guys to shame! In fact, the day after I was assaulted by a rather large snake in the desert, the old man went out and caught one of his own!



If anyone is attending the Pomona show & swap meet this weekend, stop by and give him hell. He's a sucker for a smile and a handshake!

We love you Gene, and we look forward to the next 82 years!

One of the nicest guys I've ever met! I was out at his shop back in 04 and he gave us a tour of his shop and everything. He treated us as if he'd known us for years! Even put me to work un-taping a truck he just sprayed!

Yup, that's a great age and still going strong. Had the good fortune to chat with him at the Kumeu Show/Festival when he was out here. Inspiration to us all.
