1955 Dodge Royal Tranny Question? need help.

I have a 1955 Dodge Royal 270 Red Ram, its a manual three on the tree with overdrive. I am changing it from 6v to 12v and was wondering what to do about the overdrive kickdown switch, relay, and overdrive solenoid. will it work with 12v. I am rewiring the car due to damage. Any help would be appreciated... thanks

 

Try a resistor... sold at many old Ford parts suppliers and others.

 

The solenoid will be`fine on 12. Not sure about the`rest of that stuff. I just have my solenoid wired to a switch.

Yea just a toggle switch will work. You can split any gear the way. It's nice.
