It's cool to see such a good response. I'm really digging it myself. I get asked to do lots of stuff that i have zero interest in - it was awesome to get to do something like this for a change.

I think that we will be doing more stuff if there is a demand for it. I'd love to do a creeper - mine is pretty shot.

We haven't seen the post with the nekkid chick on the tool box yet, have we? Inquiring minds wanna know!

This would be an interesting thread for the Friday Art Show.Interesting enough, yet better recieved in an area where people would be looking for art?
How are is the design applied to the box fronts?

  8. Coop Baby, You da Poop

    Coop da Poop!

Now I understand why the Bolus web site sucks so bad. You're out making dough rather than entertaining losers like myself.

I can see this thread thirty years in the future.

Ryan sold the web site to retire in Bali. The demographics have changed; Pinto, Pacers, Aspens and Volares (slant sixes of course) are all the rage, even hot-rodder's can be earth friendly.

Its the tenth year anniversary of Coop da Poop's death. Coop was found in Thailand, suffocated. At first everyone thought Coop was burned out with the fame, the money, the lavish life style, the drugs, the orgies. Well, Coop wasn't tired of that stuff at all, my man was just warming up. It was the four sixteen year old Thai Girls Coop was playing the rope game with. They got a little carried away and, well Coop's a legend now. His creations coveted by all.

Mrs. Coop has taken very well. She's got a Puerto Rican boyfriend twenty-five years her junior. We all grieve differently.

Well, let's drop in on that thread I was talking about.

Pacer Pete: I drove by Coops old Studio last week, I just had to say a Gaia prayer, I was just so moved, it was like Coop was still there working. I’ve got one of his tee-shirts, it's still in the package, I’m never turning lose of that! I’m glad they turned his studio into a Vegan Outpost, I was tempted to stop for a high colonic, in memory of Coop, but I just didn’t have the time. I was running late to pick up my entitlement check.

Cordoba Chuck: Chuck: I know what you mean; my leg tingles every time I drive by his place. Those High Colonics are to die for; I got a Banana Blast last week, I’m still feeling groovy. Hey! Check this out; I’ve got a line on one of Coop’s limited edition Matco roller tool boxes. It’s a true Condo find.

Pacer Pete: Holy Smokes! No kidding, some guy up in Chicago just sold his on Ebay and got 250 grand! What’s the story on the tool box?

Cordoba Chuck: I’m looking to spend the same amount; this thing has got great patina!

(Let me interrupt this exchange. The tool box was in pretty good shape until the owner beat the shit out of it with a chain, let his eight year old kid through a bunch of rocks at it, sanded it with assorted grits of sandpaper and then rubbed assorted grades of oil and other illegal substances all over it. So, that’s how the box got its patina)

Supposedly it was the tool box that supported the Prius Preakness Runs all over the country. Get this! Al Gore III actually owned this tool box at one time. I don’t know if you remember but he was the first guy to run a Prius at over 100mph. I think he’s up in northern California running the Gore Hemp and Prius foundation.

Pacer Pete: Man! It sounds more like a Memorial rather than a tool box. What are you going to do with it?

Cordoba Chuck: You’re absolutely right man. If I can lay my hands on this thing it’s going straight into the kitchen. I’m going to use it as a juice bar. I can’t wait to have all my friends over. It’ll be the center of conversation. I’m going to have to stock up on guavas and kiwi fruit.

Pacer Pete: Man I really hope you can get that thing, its art; it’ll really look great in your kitchen. Hey, the Organic Outlet is running a sale on guavas, you may want to run by there.

    So there you have it.................

That's some cool artwork! I'd never buy the box since they are extremely overpriced, but it looks/fits better than the rat fink offering they had a while back, IMO. Oh yeah, like everyone else....still waiting on the nudes, Liar :D

Im thinking it would be killer for the kitchen as a cabinet in my industrial styled container house.

Awesome work Coop. Do you do each one individually?
