    ...it's people!

Okay, seriously, your car looks good just the way it sits, but if you absolutely have to do something elst to it, why not consider some scallops?:D

    It's freaking sweet!

I've always wanted to see one with a custom grill. Something along the lines of a peaked floating bar, or some chevy teeth.

Personally the paint looks great as is.

    Loose the visors.

    Thanks bubba

Good call, I was thinking the same, I threw a cherry bomb on it when I first got it, and called it a day. Was thinking a two tone, flat or satin black and maybe an off white down the inside sides....

Well, not necessarily scallops, but how about something to accentuate the sweep of that beautiful chrome strip on the side of the car, maybe understated, I don't know...

    Visors, CHECK!

This is how I got it, bought if off a guy down in South Beach (Miami Florida) for 1,600.

It didnt run, and didn't take much to get her back where she belonged.....on the road.

Craigslist is a beautiful thing, I bought a 64 Mercury Monterey about 2 years ago for 1200 bucks, and drove it home. That 390 ran so strong. I miss that one, the rear electric window was bad ass.

I like it just the way it is, love how it sits now. I'd drive the wheels off it and love every minute.

  17. Yeah, that's a good deal.

IMO, your mission is to not eff it up. I like how it looked then, and how it looks now.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

Just a quick question, is it normal while driving to scrap every road reflector?

THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE RIDE!

Looks great. Ive seen a few where they take lil early 60s cars and try to make em 50s customs. That looks retarded, but your car is a great example of a nice looking early 60s car. Well done, and good find!

Only if your car sits absolutely right! Nice car...now leave it alone. Well...split pipes out the back wouldn't be a bad thing. :)

If it were mine I would shave the emblems and maybe lose some trim, lose the 4 spoke cragars and maybe run some nice early 60's hubcaps to hide the 4 lugs, definately split the exhaust and run bellflower tips and a cool 60's style paintjob!
    Nice score bTW !!

WHY in the world would you spray suede over shiny paint? That simply makes absolutely NO sense!

Man, I thought I scored when I got my comet for $1600, but yours is much nicer than mine. Your chrome looks great, you've got half the quarter panel rust I have, and I bet your floor pans are perfect. Damn.

    Keep the glossy paint.

Your car looks great the way it is.... keep your ride quailty, you'll be a lot happier with it. I like the stock paint without all the clutter on this model. Clean looking is eye catching!
