[IMG] I don't know much about this truck, but I was digging it. Looks likes a full scale version of something I saw on Model Car Sunday.

[IMG] I don't know much about this truck, except it was a an old B/Gasser from Connecticut. There was a feature recently in one of the mags about it's history, glad to see it back running. I know these guys traveled pretty far to get here, I hope to them here again.

[IMG] Frank Silva's awesome new 33 Willys. Frank proves that you can build a safe modern car that looks like it was right out of 1965.

[IMG]Two New England racing legends bench race near Bob Schnieder's blown alky dragster. Jack Doyle (white shirt)was manager of the strip when it open and ran a Fiat AA/A, plus a couple of AA/D. Don Roberts (blue shirt) drove for Jack and many other top dragsters and funny cars.

[IMG] A new feature at New England Dragway, will be these early style dragsters making 1/8th mile passes. These are very reasonable to build, and fun way to particapate. There are several be built around NE now and by late summer there will close to ten of these up running.

[IMG] A real simple concept, small block, clutch, two speed tranny adds up to some inexpensive fun.

[IMG] The pavillion provided a nice place to go rest from the warm sun all day and the afternoon showers. Ed Pearsons from Woburn, MA made a beautiful 1/25th scale model of the track the way it looked in the late sixties. It will be on display at all the nostalgia meets throughout the year.

That is the last of photos I took. Just wanted to thank the staff at New England Dragway, for listening to our needs and providing us with with more nostalgia drag racing and hot rod events. Next one will be July 26, 2009
