    from the bay area and new to the group, new to the hot rod scene, and new to my new 52. bought a 3" drop axel from speedway but the tie rods hit the leafs. Help! where do i go from here. thanks, chris
     
  2. Welcome to the HAMB. Check out the AD-Truckers group here on the HAMB. There's a whole bunch of us on here with Advance Design trucks like yourself. Is your axle specifically made for your truck or is it a universal one?

    hey thanks for checking in with me. the cataloge said it was for my truck. the original leaf springs are sagging quite a bit but im thinking it still shouldnt be hitting. i called ccp and they said i should have ordered the ball joints too. before i go spending more money i would like to get a definitive answer. i will check out ad-truckers group for sure, thanks again

    oops, i mean tie rod ends not ball joints. in any case, i still dont see how thats gonna help. then they told me i may have to get the tie rod cherry hot and bend it, i'm thinkin there has to be a better way.
