Where did you get your screen name?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by zzford, May 19, 2009.

  1. Through out my dad's life his best friend was named Dean. I was named for dad's best friend. It's always worked for me, so when I joined the HAMB, I saw no need for a goofy screen name.

Back in the dark ages, when I first picked an email address, I thought I needed a unique one, so I picked [email protected]. The J was for my first name, Jim. The G was for my wife's name, Glenda, the N was short for "and" and the "zoo" is because we have more than a couple animals. When I started logging onto internet forums, I needed a user ID, and since I was the head of "Jim and Glenda's Zoo" I became the "Zookeeper".

Most of the cars I built never got real paint mostly grey primer so everyone called me or my cars ghost. So I just stuck with it even the plates on my 32 chevy said ghost 32. The 28 is gonna get painted so now I am really confused.

Bet ya think it has something to do with horsepower. WRONG. It come from an old CB handle, HP whcih was short for Hockey Puck (cause I was a hockey player), and 2-4-6 were the numbers I wore at different times. Just sort of rhymed.

Well Cause I'm the Iceman. Started a Ice machine repair and parts business in St.Thomas, and the name stuck. Prior to me if it broke you waited for the parts and that was a trip. And if you had the part they would not show up when promised, and if they did, don't mean it was fixed right. Had a sign on the tailgate (the ice man goeth) Iceman
