I went to a garage today where I was informed of some cars that needed to be removed and sold a few days ago. This includes the "how do I get rid of 1000 tires" post. This lady got left with a LOT of stuff. Most of it junk. Some of it not junk. The stuff in the house is NOT junk at all. I didn't take pictures of all of it. It's been in the garage since 1972 and some of the house was actually added on to after the fact and the cars are literally built INTO the house now. They'll find a way out.

    1957 chevy...perfect
1957 chevy convertible customized in 1960...nice but needs paint
    1957 chevy two door hardtop...perfect
    1965 corvette perfect....bought new
    1966 riviera NICE 41k miles...bought new
    1967 camaro...completely buried...supposedly perfect
    1969 camaro...completely buried...supposedly really nice
    1935 Ford 5 window...chopped...channeled...rodded in 1961...parked in 1972...perfect
    motorcycles....etc...

They all sold today so don't even ask. Just thought you'd wanna see em...

  3. I guess I'd try to help someone get rid of 1000 tires if I could get a deal on one of those cars, too -

Wow...those basement pictures really suck. Sorry about that. I didn't review them. Shame cause that's where the high dollar stuff was. This is where the 1000 tires are too. They have everything they've ever owned from 1969 to today. There are about 40 cars and motorcycles there and close to 1000 wheels and tires inside the house and in the yard and garages. Most on rims too.

I made a handshake deal on the 35 today and then after I left my buddy who introduced me to this whole thing went back and put a deposit on it. She wouldn't take money from me because you can't even see the whole car due to the mess in there. That sucks but he found it first I guess so I'm going to offer him some money to just walk away from it. He doesn't know or like hot rods (he is a muscle car guy) but thinks he can make money on it now I guess.

I really think there are a lot of places like this, and as the owners arrive at check out time the market will get a new flood of cars.

    Super well kept...

Thanks for your advice about the title.

  14. Actually that's how to get rid of the tires, everyone who buys a car or bike has to take at least 25.

work out a deal with the owner to broker it, take the 35 and a percentage of everything else.... that way its fair for the owner and you get something for your time... just a thought...

Thats the reason I don't keep tons of stuff around....we all die someday....and i wouldn't want to saddle my family with getting rid of all my old crap! (some is OK...but thats a little rediculous!)

Well... the serial killers make it easier to get around in the world being there is now less people, and the pack rats are just saving stuff for people like us who now have a better chance at getting it because of the serial killers....just a thought.
