if anyone cares :p heres what i did to my wheel wells

first I drew the lines where i wanted to cut and cut it out.

then I split the peice I cut out. welded a small peice of tube in for support and tacked thn back to the body exactly two inched down( in acordance with the wheel well and marked lines.

Next, i made a filler peice for the gap in the center. getting that curve right was a pain in the ass...

then simply filled the other hole... and presto my truck looks lower

i had fun doing it, i hope someone can find some use with this info

I think it looks sharp, but can you still get the wheel on and off easily?

To me it looks like the seat is no higher than stock. (or at least close to it). Looks like the mounts were taken out or shortened up. The stock bottom door sills are tall in this truck from the factory!

Are you going to repeat the process with the front wheel wells? It looks out of proportion to me with fronts taller than the rears.

  21. Wow, very cool. It's good to see a dirty Dodge once in awhile.

Love the modification to the rear fender wells. The change is dead on
and a lot of guys won't know that you did it. That is what kustoms is all
about, improving the line. Great job, keep us posted with the progress.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Make sure you can still remove the wheels before you drive it around and get a flat. :)

(I have to take the tire valve stem out to be able to get my 235-width tires and 7" wheels off my stock '57 Mopars)
