Event Coverage KKOA Show Eureka Springs, AR June 5-7

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by drdave, May 11, 2009.

  1. Haven't seen this announced here, yet. KKOA is putting on a new show in Eureka Springs, Arkansas the first weekend in June. Don't know what to expect for a first show, other than some cool customs. Eureka is a great little town with tons of shops and stuff for anyone that would come with you and not want to spend the day at the show. ;) I know myself and Arkiehotrods will be there for sure. I'll have my Merc and hopefully we will have Arkie's Nomad back in shape for the trip. Hope to see some of you there. If this gets some response, maybe set up an official Meet and Greet....if there is more than just Duncan....I already know him. LOL.

Hey, Dave, is it gonna be just Saturday or Friday and Saturday? I know it's not a Kustom, but if I could pretty please be the chase truck I'll probably tag along in the trusty '46.

I'm doubtful..... Friday afternoon I'm going to the Starbird show and instead of
staying just for Saturday, I'll be attending the whole shhbang. Don't know if I can
reload fast enough to run again. If I do go, It will be just be for the day.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

  7. The show is Friday, Sat and Sunday. Not just customs, though. They have rods, trucks, etc. So, yeah, they will let you guys in for sure. We are headed up on Friday and have reservations for the weekend up town at a bed and breakfast so the wives are close to town and have something to do when we drag the cars off to the show during the day.

I'll miss you again Mickey! I was hoping you would make it for the day so the Mercs could finally meet in person. LOL.

My wife and I were just married there in December at Thorncrown. Stayed at the Basin Park. Great town.

I love the place but not a very good town to get around in driving low custom! Would be cool to go up though!

We honeymooned there, many moons ago. And I've officiated at a few weddings at Thorncrown Chapel. We go there once or twice a year. The population there is, um, interesting.

This sounds like fun, maybe some of us can make it. Its worth going to Eureka just to sit on the back porch of the Crescent.

Too bad they didn't get the word out about this show. I'm sure a few of us "Early Rodder" would have made some plans. I heard about it tuesday night. Too late to make plans to go.
