I have a firestone heater that has a cast potmetal knob thatis in bad shape. I would like to find someone that could cast me a new one.

I do a little, I have cast a few shift knobs. I'd be willing to give it a shot in a few weeks (have the wife's Subaru torn down right now)....

  3. Here,s what new hardware-store knobs look like on an old heater. Easier to scratch up the new knobs than to repaint the heater that still works OK.

It might be easier finding someone to cast it in plastic, then paint it.......just a thought......Mike

  5. If it were mine,I'd just turn one on my lathe out of alum bar stock...cheaper too!!!

Check out Home Depot or Lowes. I found similar ones for my vintage heater.
