    GaryC.

    Imagine this...
in 1926 there was an automobile known as 'Super Sport'.
Eddie Rickenbacker was a World War One flying ace,
a captain of industry, head of an airline, a legend in his own time.
He survived wars, being lost at sea and the battles of
the corporate board room. His automobile company
produced a full line of cars. The down side of all of this was that
they were far to costly for the time. Technologically interesting, and
stylistically beautiful, the 1926 Rickenbacker Super Sport was about
as rare back then as one, and I mean one, is today.
The sole survivor rests in the Palm Springs CA Air Museum.
    I couldn't resist.

Here's my third venture into single seat retro rods.
Elements of old and new fill this Saturday morning road burner.
The idea here was to incorporate tradition and future tech.
I'm liking the idea of downforce directed to each wheel individually
via the use of spoilers with flat fender tops.
Look close; thats a flathead hooked-up to a ZF transaxle.
    The Retro Solo.

  6. Looks like this thread caught on, so here's what I have. A fink'd version of Eric, aka "Butter Boy Johnson", on his Triumph. the other one is just something I got to do on a local gearhead I had never met.

Here’s my latest charcoal…it’s 36” x 15”, a lot smaller than I usually work (yes, size matters!). It’s a ’38 Delahaye 135M, probably a little froo-froo for this board…but then again I’m willing to bet Giuseppe Figoni would have been a hamber given the opportunity. Thanks! Molly

Here's a pencil study I did from The Roundup that may eventually turn into a painting. Cheers everyone.

Well this is the first In 10 jackets that I will be doing and updating for pilots and crew associated with the "Liberty Belle" foundation. I am stoked to be associated with this and look forward to some b-17 rides in the future!!!

Fresh off the presses as of 1 hour ago.

Hand painted on modern day reproduction A-2. Pebbly leather texture courtesy of goatskin.

  10. WHAT A GREAT START.
Not a lot of free time so I just banged this one out.

Gearing up for an all nighter tonight. work can sometimes really suck.
    Glad I have work tho...

I just started drawing with nothing in mind but what my mind created.
ToddJ and Sinister sketches got me going...

Thank you . I really like your perspective and composition for your upcoming painting ..well done.

The liberty belle thing had to adhere to a previous design so that it would match the nose art on the b-17 itself.

I would rather paint on smoother jackets (horsehide) there will be one up next week here that is going to be more in the lines of what can be accomplished when given free reign for composition and style.

    Hooray friday art show!

Got these back from the printer this week. I will put them in the classifieds. Still waiting for the spark plug shirt, but the test print looked pretty bad ass if I don't say so myself.

  26. I haven't posted anything for a while so here goes. A new laser cut sign, "Happy Hour Motel". Individual laser cut pieces that are primed, painted then assembled. The angled close up shot shows the stacking a little better.
