  3. Nice stance and altitude/attitude. The color looks like a 65 Chevy color referred to as Evening Orchid or is it silver, either one it looks great, 3/4 pics of 55's are the best. Great progress in your time frame. Gives me inspiration on my 55 build. thanks for posting.

Thanks. Good to hear there's still some stability in the world. The hot rod scene seems strong back there - keep up the good work, guys!

Yes they are, but who knows for how long. Mike Sr. is about 30 in the picture with his '55. He's about 70 now. Here's a pic the old man doing the heads for my motor.

Dan, are you running the Hilborn Mechanical 4 port injector or will it be converted to EFI?
I have an old one that I will be using on my Willys someday.

Jim, mine is an EFI conversion. This thing will be driven some, not alot. I toyed with doing a mechanical unit but didn't know any body with one to talk to. You tell me, Shakey Puddin's got mechanical, would you use it on a fair grounds special-race car. The new EFI units from hilborn have a fuel rail instead of seperate hoses(see pic), bummed me out. Your Willys looks good. Dan

Back in the day, to open up the wheel wells, they were cut to the radius shape, ground to a clean edge and fuel line tubing was welded on to get a smooth rolled edge. The real purpose was that 55 Chevy's have a small wheel tub and not many shops shortened rears. When you put wide rear tires (M&H) they stuck out past the quarters. Joe

I cant believe how easy that was instead of using the hammer/dolly thing. It took about 30 mins. to each fender and all I have to do now is smooth it out. Instead of in I went out and now my car looks like the 2lane blacktop radius. Thanks for the photos!
