.....we are putting on a free show here, in N.Y.C. on May 9th. It's taking place on West 12th Street in Coney Island. The same block as the Freak Show.......More Details in the next few days....Stay Tuned!

 

just got an email from "Lenny One More" (from The Rumblers) telling me to save the date of May 9.Its at the WORLD FAMOUS CONEY ISLAND,USA (or whats left of it since Thor Equities purchased a shit load of that property there and has been destroying the place).All us H.A.M.B.ers need to support this event not just cause its a RUMBLERS show but to show support for keeping Coney Island alive with family orientated functions like this one now that this developing firm has pretty much taken the thrill away from the kids & adults that have made Coney island an attraction for DECADES.Every year the park keeps shrinking and shrinking in preparation from the WaterFront condos they have plans on putting up in place of this great historical amusement park.

Come out and show your support.

We have a couple of great bands for you; Tombstone Brawlers and Dead Luck Devilles.....The car show and music is going to be free. If you drive your pre-'64 car in, you'll get a discount to the Side Show, and there will be some kind of drink special too.....

The show is going to be from 3:00 until 10:00

Also; we're giving out a Trophy for The Best Ride in Coney Island....so come on down check out the cars, the freak show, have a Nathan's Hot Dog or 2, ride the Cyclone, and get this season started..........

Way back in 56,me and another fool rode the Cyclone 17 times with out a break . Parachute jump,Wonder wheel,Luna Park,Hores ride -Steeple chase park . Lots of memories from that place

 

That sucks.i wish i were up there i would help.i remember riding the Cyclone back in 1974-75 aaaahhh The memories.

Yeah, I could ride the Cyclone all day, too, might be a little bruised the next day though! We gotta enjoy this place while what remains is still there...
