Hello, retired old fart native Floridian from Polk County. I was at Garlet's museum to the No Billet Car show last month and I heard the HAMB site addressed many times. All of the cars I liked best seemed to be owners who were members, so I figured I'd better join up to see what all the fuss was about! Always loved odd-ball vehicles. Just sold a Crosley, bought a '52 Willys Wagon rolling chassis, w/F-head six, 3-speed w/OD, original 4:11 rear end. Thinking of building something strange, but practical. I want something with no bought parts, if I can possible make it, myself. Looking forward to meeting interesting folks and seeing some unique cars!
Thanks to everyone who responded. Geez, can't believe I didn't respond to the welcomes! Been dealing with some health issues over the past few years, but seem to have overcome most of them, now. Have cleaned house and got rid of projects that have gone nowhere and am now building a roadster pickup out of my '46 Jeep. Was inspired by a photo of a hot-rodded Jeep, made into a similar vehicle, on the beach. Looks like Daytona. I plan to begin posting my progress soon.
