Hello, I'm Martein, I live in The Netherlands, Europe. I do have a 1928 model A, which was converted to a pick-up truck way back in France. It's in pretty good shape, considering it's age. No major rust. I bought it a year ago, complete, but in parts. The previous owner did start on refurbishing the chassis an front / rear suspension. I was looking for a V8 Flathead, when a V12 Lincoln flathead popped up, so I bought that instead. It is stuck, but the overal condition looks to be OK. I'll take it apart for inspection / rebuild this summer. I'll post some pics up soon, if interested ? Cheers Martein
Welcome. I will be in your neighborhood at the end of the month for work. Looking to see pics of your car.
Thanks for the warm welcome @ 34 GAZ, I found it in the USA (through a friend of my) so he got it for me, boxed it, and had it shipped overhere I know a lot of people do a T5 tranny conversion on the V8 flatheads, so I'm on the look out for a matching bellhousing. A T5 can be sourced locally quite easily. Cheers, Martein
As promised, here are a few pics of the project so far. As said, I bought it all in parts. I sold the L4 engine, and 21'' wheels. Sorry for the poor pic's but I am in the middle of major makeover of the house I bought... The V12 Flathead... The house is now nearly done, so need to get my arse in gear, and get my other car ready... (should be done mid summer) After that I'll start on the model A. Once I'll get started, I'll make a propper topic about it. Now I'm gathering as much info as possible prior to the build.. Cheers, Martein
Martein, Hello & Welcome to the HAMB from South Texas. You are commited. Great looking start. Good Luck. Lucky667
Thanks for the comments guys! @ Captain Scarlet.... I'm amazed you knew that the other car is a Fiesta!! They're not sold for a verylong time in the US... I got the Fiesta years ago, long time before I even had a driverlicense Anyway, I build it in a garage, with limited acces to power and water. The garage was in an appartment complex. To cut a long story short, a guy that lived there was building a 83'er El Camino, with all kind of nice goodies. A few year later, my car was done, and so was his. We went to the 2006 HotRod powertour, and did the long haul Ever since I wanted Model A Ford.... So even though I was in the middle of rebuilding my Fiesta (engine upgrade) and I was in the middle of rebuilding a house I recently bought... But I couldn't resist the Model A ford. It's been a year ago since I bought it, and my hand are itching to get started on it. But I really need to have the Fiesta up and running this summer, so once that's sorted, I can focus on the Model A project and will start a build topic for it. I'll dig out some more pics of the Fiesta tomorrow. Cheers, Martein

Here are a few pics : Engine mock up Needs a few mods to be as I would love it (will make a custom inlet manifold to get the tb's at an angle... Need to have it back on the road asap, cuz I can't wait to start on the model A project Cheers, Martein
Yeah, all of my friends got their selfs mk2 golfs back in the days... (either that, or the Vauxhaul Astra....) I wanted something different, and went for this hehe Now they've all sold thiers (well, either sold, rusted away or totalled...) and got theirselfes newer cars :S Only one of them got a 'project' car and that's a mk1 Golf (G60 etc etc) But none of them has a "proper" hotrod...
That is the beauty of a traditional hot rod. No two are the same and you will get more thumbs up with the Model A than the Fiesta
