http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/1084848499.html $47,000 seems like a good deal. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/a-rearside.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/b-frontside.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/c-front.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/h-roof.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/m-wentwindow.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/q-shifter.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r105/yeriksso/ford47cp/z-vintagefoto.jpg
Wow, I was expecting to cringe when I opened those pics. I am pleasantly surprised. Can someone loan me $40k?
Can I pull an equity loan from my house to buy it? Oh thats right my house is worth a lot less than I owe on it.
How about this 1 for 5 k less. W It's in Ron "The Sticher" Mangus's shop now gettin a full 1 off interior.
I think that burnt copper color car would have to be like 25k less, there is so much wrong with that car. Granted it could all be fixed, but does not fit this site, not my taste even a little bit!
I bought that car 5 yrs ago, sold it to Jim Jard, bought it back, sold it. Now I guess the new owner is selling it. Poor car.
That's no Barris car it was built in Buffalo. I rmemeber seeing it when I was a kid, and it was orange... I still remember seeing the ad selling it in the Buffalo News.
cool car none the less, there was another thread about it a couple months ago http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333609#post3594176
The seller is clearly saying it was a Barris built car. Seems like blatent fraud to me. Are you sure the Buffalo car is not a clone? Any prior owners care to shed light?
The ad says built in NY. Towards the bottom: 1947 Ford Historic Custom Nicely restored 1947 Ford Custom. You can’t build history. This car was built in 1954-56 in New York.
I don't know about the it being genuine, but I can tell you it's been for sale for quite a while ..... I saw it for sale last year sometime.
SAW AN ODD-BALL "BARRIS" RIG LAST YEAR AT THE PORTLAND SPRING SWAP-MEET, I WAS AT THE BACK GATE ON OPENING DAY. THINK IT WAS 13K IT WAS MADE OUT OF AN OLD MANURE SPREADER AND CALLED "Lil Stinker" RED CANDY METAL-FLAKE PAINT. CHROMED BOLT-ON FRONT SUBFRAME. HAD A FADED BARRIS CREST ON IT, LOOKED LEGIT. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO IT?
Yes Lil Stinker is sitting in a garage in Lake Oswego. It currently has a motor sitting in the front section rather than in the mid section. I saw it this evening while looking a a Mustang that the fellow living in the house has for sale. I will see if I can get a pic or two of it this weekend.
